Jocelyn has been pretty lucky the last few months because she got to sleep in a baby cradle that has lots of family history along with it. It was her Great Great Grandmothers Craddle. Her Great Grandmother, Grandmother, and Mother all were some of many that slept in it as a baby. It has been so nice to have around because she was able to be in our room.
Pictures of Little Jo, one month old.
She slept in this craddle for four months and one month in our bed.
Jo is officially in her own room now and sleeping really well in her crib. She was not taking very long naps for us anymore the most we ever got was about an hour in. She also was fighting going to sleep. If she falls asleep while you are holding her when we would move or put her down it would wake her up. She wouldn't sleep in her swing anymore. So, we decided to turn to the extinguish method. I was expecting a brutal night but the first night that we attempted it she cried for 25 minutes and went to sleep at 8PM and slept all the way until 4:45AM. I fed her and placed her right back in and she went right back to sleep. Since that first night we just lay her in her crib for nap time or bedtime and she hasn't cried for more then 10 minutes and then she is asleep. Always on her tummy too. She is a stomach sleeping like her Mom. She now takes three naps a day ususally two hours and sleep from 8PM to 7AM waking up once or twice a night.
Sleep we got you now!
I bet everyone is alot happier at your house. Good job!
