Beach Babies

Jump all the way back to the end of September when my family was here visiting (yes I am that behind on blogging). On Friday we went out to Lone Rock and had an enjoyable afternoon swimming and playing in the sand. We were lucky that we had good weather on Friday because the rest of the weekend it rained and rained.
When we first arrived we all jumped into the lake pretty quick.

After swimming for a while we went back up to the shade tent and had some lunch while Gretel took a nice nap on my Dad's shoulder as he fried in the sun.
After lunch we played in the sand for a while. The girls loved swimming in the water; however, the favorite was definitely playing in the sand.
Jocelyn was actually big enough to sit in her floaty this time without being drowned with the waves each time a boat passed by. She was more interested in trying to drink the water then float around so her time in the floaty was short lived.
That was alright though because Scarlett loved it!

Before we left we had to take a dip in the lake to cool off one last time.
We headed back home to relax and once Ben got off work we had some brats, hot dogs, and smores over the fire and enjoyed the summer evening in the backyard.
