Summer Outing

In the beginning of July Ben had some time off in between Summer school and the school year starting. We decided to go and check out a fun hike nearby. It was a nice hike and we were really enjoying it, however, it started to have a few little drop offs that were difficult to maneuver down for Ben with a baby on his back.

Little Jo wasn't particularly fond on the experience so we decided to take a little drive down to Navajo Bridge and check out the Ranch at Lee's Ferry.
We were glad we didn't give up after the hike because Navajo Bridge was a hit for Ms. Jo!
Little Jo loved looking over the edge at the water below and pointing out all the birds flying around.
However, her favorite thing was to run, run, and run.

While letting out shouts of pure joy.

There was a few small puddles on the bridge and she had fun splashing in them, so much fun in fact that she decided she wanted to go swimming in the puddle as well and sat right down in the middle of it. Of course this was one of those times I did not think to bring a spare outfit.

After running up and down Navajo Bridge a few times we hopped in the car and drove over to a pavilion right off the Colorado River and cooled off in the shade while having a nice picnic lunch.
Then it was time to head on over to the Ranch. We discovered that they have a large orchard and it is free for the public to come and pick fruit. You can pick up to 5 gallons of fruit each.
There was a ton of fruit on the trees apples, pears, and apricots. Unfortunately for us they were not quite ready to be picked. Little Jo didn't believe us and had to try for herself.
We had a ton of fun walking around and wearing out this girl. Here's to summer adventures!
