One Whole Month

On Wednesday April 23rd Jocelyn celebrated turning one month old by going to the doctors for a check-up.
One Month Stats:
Height 21 inches (41st percentile)
Weight 7lb 15.6 (13th percentile)
Head Circumference 14 inches (19th percentile)
She may be little but the doctor is not worried because she is following her growth curve.
 One Month Facts:
  • Jocelyn is still in newborn clothes. They are starting to get a little short but the 0-3 month clothes are huge on her waist and do not stay up yet.
  • She is starting to smile at Ben and I when we talk to her. It is the cutest little smile ever. Still need to catch one on camera!
  • She sleeps great at night. She typically gives me a four hour stretch every night and recently has been giving me a three hour following that! Hopefully we are getting close to saying goodbye to the two hour wake-up calls at night!
  • She loves going for car rides and going out. When we have gone out to eat she will look around at everything.
  • She grunts when she wants something. When she is hungry, wants her pacifier, and when she is swaddled and wants her arms out.

  • She loves listening to music from her toys and hearing Mom and Dad sing to her, especially Dad's made-up songs!  She will actually let us set her down if she has her seahorse or bear playing.
  • She LOVES her swing. Which is great because it gives me a chance to get a few things done during the day. Not that I wouldn't enjoy holding this baby all day long. But, I do like to have some clean dishes to eat on every once in a while!
  • She gets fussy in the evenings and wants to eat constantly.  It makes it very hard to cook dinner. It is a good thing that this face is adorable no matter what! Love this little girl!

Puppy Facts:
  • They love Jocelyn! They think that her tummy time is their special time with her. They always have to get down and lay next to her while she is down there.
  • They love to lick her spit up, especially Khloe. We have to be careful to keep burp rags out of reach.
  • Whenever she cries they have to go and make sure that she is okay.
  • When we have company over that is not family they get very protective of her and watch very closely. Even growling occasionally, which is a habit we hope to break!
  • She likes to watch the dogs and probably cannot wait to start chasing them around and pulling those tails.
  • Bree is a little sweetheart with her. She likes to come and lay by Jocelyn while we are holding her. One time Jocelyn kept kicking Bree in the head and she just kept laying there and took it with out getting mad or even moving away.
It has been one wonderful month for our little family. She has us tied around her little fingers. We couldn't be more in love with our little sweetheart. I love being her mother.
