Our First Family Outing

On Saturday May 3rd we went to a BBQ that Ben's school district held for everyone that works at the high school. On our way home we noticed tons of cars at the park and saw a car show was going on. So, we came home and took a walk on down to the park with the puppies and baby in tow. It was the first time we have all been out as a whole family (puppies included) and we had a lot of fun.

Ben had come up with a way to tether the puppies (this is the last month I get to call them puppies because at the end of the month they will be a year old) together so that we only have to hold onto one leash because with two the puppies are pretty good at tangling each other and us up! Which makes it near impossible to walk both dogs on separate leashes by yourself. It is hilarious to watch them walk tethered together because the tether is not very long and they end up being pretty close together. If one pup decides to turn and look at something and the other keeps walking one will end up walking backwards for a minute until they can figure out how to turn around again. We had fun laughing at them all the way to the park.

They had some neat cars at the show my personal favorite was the semi truck.

Ben really liked the old fire truck. Yes, it is me in the picture he said he wasn't feeling particularly photogenic.

We both loved the paint job on this truck...depending on the direction you were looking at the truck it appeared to be a different color. 

We saw a few friends at the park...that is one thing I love about small towns is it is fun to run into everyone at events. We also bought Jocee more hair bows; I may be a little addicted. Besides, you can never have enough headbands and bows! It was a successful first family outing. Little Jocee slept the whole time and overall the puppies were pretty well behaved. We are excited for this summer and to have many more Dalton family adventures!
