This sweet girl is two years old! At her 2 year well child check there was a new Medical Assistant who could not tell me her percentiles. So, these growth percentiles based off of WHO charts.
Growth Percentiles
Height: 33.5inches 27.5%
Weight: 24lb 34.5%
I originally had to work on her birthday, but, someone asked to trade shifts with me and I happily agreed. So, this girl and I got to spend the whole day together. Ben had to work but he was able to come home early and spend some extra time with us. Jo started off the morning by opening up her presents from Grandpa and Grandma Deus. She LOVED her new food and played with her kitchen all morning making her and I waffles. One plate for Mom and one plate for Jo.

Jo can count to ten (minus the number seven which is always forgotten), She speaks in sentences and will talk your ear off. She knows the letters A,B,C,D,E,F. She loves to color, and paint. When she colors she tries to color in the lines, she also can write the letter A. She thinks she can write more than that but that is the only letter that is actually legible.
She has already learned the phrase, "No, I do it Mom." She is a pretty independent little girl. However, she still loves to cuddle and be held.
She is very much a girly girl. She doesn't like her hands to be dirty. She loves to play with her baby dolls. She likes her hair to be done with a bow. After I do her hair she talks about how pretty it is. She likes to wear bracelets and necklaces. Her favorite of all if getting her toenails painted.
She is learning her colors. Right now she can say most of her colors but does not always match them up with the actual color. She does have pink and blue down pretty well.
This girl loves to read books. When we are getting her ready for bed she will start bargaining with us so she can stay up a little later. "Read one more book" as she waves her pointer finger in the air. If we tell her no more it is time for bed she then will say, "No, two more, just two more...five more" and the number of books continue to increase. She hasn't quite gotten that she should start with five and then work down.
She loves to sing and dance.
Jo has been in a toddler bed for a few months now. She discovered that she no longer had to stay in the crib and she could just climb out. Jo loves to climb on everything. She also loves to "run fast", and "bop" (jump), and kick "soccer balls." You can tell that Daddy has definitely had an impact on which sport he wants her to play. She loves to ride her bike, but hasn't quite gotten the pedaling down. One of her favorites things to do is swing, she would do that for hours.
This girl would spend the entire day outside if we let her.
She is a great eater. Sometimes I feel like she eats the same portion sizes as me. However, she is still a petite little thing. I haven't taken her in for her well child check-up yet. It will be interesting to see where she is measuring up. She eats just about anything that I give her as long as it is not "hot."
She has a great smile and whenever we go to the store she always smiles, and says hi to everyone. She has quite a few people that love to come and say hi to her when we walk into certain stores. They even approach us out in the community to come say hi to the girl with the cute smile. I guess that is the benefit of living in a small town. She is a ham and loves showing off, so she enjoys every second of the attention she gets. She knows that she pretty irresistible.
We sure do love this sweet girl, so grateful that she is part of our family. Happy second birthday Jo!
