Sea World

On Wednesday morning we slept in and took our time checking out and packing up. We did not have any plans and just wanted to take it easy to give Jo a break. We headed out of Anaheim and started on our way to San Diego. We got to our hotel early and even after having lunch they were not quite ready for us to check-in so we searched and found some nice outlet stores and spent the afternoon walking around. They even had a playground area that Jo did not want to leave. We got back to our hotel early. We thought maybe we would watch something on TV but the cable was not working and then the internet would not stream. So, it was early to bed for all of us.

We spent the next day at Sea World. Jo really enjoyed looking at all the animals.

We were able to watch quite a few different shows. She loved the otters and sea lions. It was the show that she watched most intently.

She even got into the dancing and had to join along with them from the stands.

We also went to a bubble show and Jo became part of the Bubble Brigade. She took a little while to warm up because of all the other children around. At the end of the show she got up and started popping bubbles along with the rest of the kids.

We stopped off at the String Ray Bay. Little Jo really wanted to pet one, however, she had short arms and the water was kind of deep.

At one point I had her hand trying to help her pet one and Ben was holding her pretty close to the water. Not sure if we pulled her down a little too close to the water or she thought it looked refreshing, but, she came back up with water dripping from her mouth and let out a refreshing sigh, smacking her lips. Ben and I were a little worried at first but when she started shaking her head, wiping her mouth, and saying yuck we forgot all about it and just had to have a good laugh.

We heard that this is the last year that they are going to be doing One World so we had to make sure to see it one last time. This knowledge helped Ben and I enjoy the whole Sea world experience a little more to hear they are making some good changes.

We did sit at the top of a slash zone, Jo even noticed some of the kids making a signs to the whales to splash them and joined in. Luckily for me, the other kids got splashed and we stayed dry.

After we hit all the bigger shows we went to a pet show with animals that Sea World has helped rescue. It was fun to watch the dogs and cats do different tricks.

After they let the audience come up and pet a few of the animals. Jo loved the Kangaroo, it was surprisingly very soft.

The animals were all very active and Jo had fun watching the Polar Bears walk around and one of them even took a dive into the water.

A Beluga Whale swam right next to her and she got so excited.

We also enjoyed some delicious dip-n-dots. Little Jo was a huge fan, but when it comes to ice cream this girl is all over it. Especially if it is chocolate.
