2016 Deus Family Reunion

Our Deus Family Reunion started off on a Thursday where we all met up in Hatch, UT at this great vacation home that my parents rented. We had fun hanging out and chatting with each other that evening.

On our first full day we drove over to Mystic River Outdoor Adventure to ride the zip line there.

The awesome thing about the zip line there is that children can ride tandem with their parents.

Little Jo is always up for a ride and was excited from the very beginning.

Although this was the first time she had to wear all this gear.

We had to hike up a little ways to get to the zip line. The girls started out walking but didn't make it too far before they needed to be carried, their gear was pretty heavy!

There were not enough harnesses for everyone, so Ben had to wait for another group to finish up before he could go. Jo got to watch a few people ride down and was pretty excited for her turn. She kept repeating over and over to us that she wanted to ride.

Our group headed up the mountain for their turn once everyone was harnessed up.

Poor Dieter had to stay with the two pregnant ladies, and also decided to tip over while playing with rocks and get a face full of dirt. Life is rough as a baby sometimes.

Since Sheena was on baby watch, I was left with everyone's stuff.

While watching everyone have a good time, I did manage to take a few pictures.

John and Scarlett and Ben and Jo on the second zip line. Jo was a little scared and held very tight, but she managed to get a few "wees" out. Her knuckles were white, but her face was smiling when she was done.

Ben and Jo enjoyed the wildlife. Ben and my dad saved two lizards that were hiding under a piece of wood that was used for people to stand on while getting harnessed up for the ride. They would have been squished otherwise. Once we started our post zip line descent, Jo's focus shifted to heading back so she could have a chance to hold the lizard.

The guide wanted to take a group picture with everyone, since we were the largest group of tandem riders he had ever had.

We had so much fun!
