Coconino County Fair

Jessie and Johnson came down over Labor Day Weekend to come visit with us and meet the new little one. We really enjoyed having them come down and it was nice to get to know Johnson a little bit better. On Friday night we decided to head down Saturday to Petrified Forest National Park.
We took off Saturday afternoon and drove on down to Flagstaff. Jessie heard on the radio that the County fair was happening that weekend so we decided to head on over there.
Jo was so excited to see all the animals. We were a little late getting to the fair and it was also the last day. So, we missed seeing a few of the animals because they were already getting auctioned off. One of the pigs was squealing so loud, I had no idea a pig could even make noises that loud. He must have been pretty distraught about his fate.
On a brighter note, Jo got to pet a rabbit.
Jo's favorite part of the night...riding a pony. She was so excited!
She got to pick which pony she wanted to ride on.
She picked the smallest out of all the pony's. She told us that she likes the short ones.
She loved every second of the ride. Every time she would circle back around to where we were standing she would have the biggest grin on her face and give us her best wave.

At the end of the ride they let us take a picture of Bridget up on the pony with Jo.

As for the rest of the night, Bridget had fun riding with me in the carrier and just being adorable like always.
This trip was Bridget's first long car ride and she was a champ. She made it the whole way to Flagstaff with out a peep and we did not have to stop. I sat in the back with her and she just slept the entire time.
After the fair we had to drive to Holbook. We had plans to go swimming at the hotel that night. However, we left the fair pretty late and did not pull into Holbrook until after midnight.
Jo had fun cuddling with Bree while Ben brought in the luggage. Once everyone was all settled the dog's snuggled up in their kennel, Jo slept with her Daddy, and I slept in the other bed with Bridget. Bridget decided to stay up until about 2AM and then crashed out for the remainder of the night. It was rough getting up that next morning but we were excited to check out Petrified Wood National Forest.
