Alpine Pond Trail

After getting lunch at the convince store, we drove back up to Cedar Breaks to do the Alpine Pond Trail. It was a short one mile loop that took us to a beautiful, serene pond.

Being at the secluded pond reminded me of my time at girls camp where our leaders would have us find a quiet spot to read our scriptures, write in our journals, and contemplate on savior. These moments as a youth were times where I felt the closest to my savior. Being surrounded by the beauty of nature, the peace and quiet I felt coming across the pond reminded me of those times. I felt the savior's love for me.

Jocelyn's feet were tired and so since Bridget did not want to ride in the ergo she decided she would give it a try. It was a bit of a tight fit and probably her last ride.
Bridget was quiet the character on this hike. She kept getting distracted wanting to climb on tree trunks and rocks. We kept falling behind and I had to keep picking her up and running to catch up with Ben. Only so she could fall behind again! She also had a myriad of faces for the camera!
Once we got back into Brian Head we picked up dinner. If was either pizza again or try the Thai restaurant. So...we went with Thai. The girls ate noodles from my pad thai and had rice. We took our food back to the hotel and ate on the patio by the fire pits.
Following dinner, we changed into our swimsuits and went swimming. The pool looked awesome with its fancy waterfall. However, the water was freezing! Bridget and I did not last long so we went up and changed while Ben and Jo braved the cold water a little longer. The girls settled down and went to sleep pretty quick Saturday night. We wore them out!
