We thought that on Friday we would be able to visit the Sonoran Desert Museum as well as Old Tucson. Boy were we wrong! Both places ended up being a full day. So, we decided to extend our trip and instead of heading home that morning we went to old Tucson and took off around 5 which meant we got back pretty late!
It was so worth it though! We had so much fun taking pictures, going on rides, watching the shows, and seeing the horses and donkeys.
Jocelyn is quite the little actress. We would tell her what to do and she would just excel at it. She also was pretty good at coming up with her own cute little faces. By far her favorite place to take pictures was this little jail cell.
We took so many pictures! She would say, "Ok Mommy now look mad...
Sad...
Scared...
happy."
The girls got to go on a few rides.
A Train.
A Carousel.
It was Bridget's first Carousel ride.
Jocelyn even got to drive a car. I pushed the pedals and she attempted to steer us.
What Jo looked forward to the most was her horse ride.
This girl just LOVES animals!
She was obsessed with this donkey and had to keep visiting him.
We also were able to watch a few shows. We watched a cowboy who showed us some roping tricks. He had a good sense of humor and gave us some good laughs. He picked a boy from the audience and it was pretty hilarious watching the boy run around and get roped. We watched part of a stunt show until Bridget blew out of her outfit and we had to go change her.
They talked to us about the guns and how even though they do not use real bullets they can still be dangerous. They put the gun right next to a cup of water and blew it into tiny pieces. They talked about how they never point the gun directly at each other.
The last show of the day was a fun gun fight.
Jo even got to wear a cowboy's hat for the picture. We had a blast! Now we need to go watch one of the movies that was filmed here so we can say, "Hey, we've been there!"
